Responsibilities:
Obtains samples from raw materials, using laboratory instruments, evaluates for adherence to Company standards of quality and appearance.
Obtains random samples from various stages of production and checks with laboratory instruments that the samples meet Company quality standards and customer's standards.
Obtains random samples from finished production and checks with laboratory instruments that the samples meet company quality standards and customer's standards.
May accumulate scrap, keep up with scrap inventory, and prepare necessary reporting of scrap.
Works closely with Quality Assurance Manager in establishing proper quality standards.
Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Responsible for conducting all works in a safe manner.
Sample parts using statistical analysis techniques.
May contact customer to clarify/acquire disposition on product.
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products - Use various measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure product specifications are met - Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions - Collect and analyze data to monitor product quality trends and identify potential issues - Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives - Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret technical specifications - Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines - Knowledge of FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines is a plus - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on data analysis - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members Note:
